Pamela Jo Harris, M.D., FACP
Vice President Clinical and Medical Affairs

Dr. Harris is the Vice President of Clinical and Medical Affairs at Panacea Pharmaceuticals. In this role, she is responsible for the design and implementation of clinical trials involving the company's diagnostic and therapeutic products. For the past seven years, Dr. Harris has had senior oncology clinical research positions in the industry. She worked at Wyeth Pharmaceuticals and Pfizer Pharmaceuticals and has contributed significantly to pivotal programs in evolving biotechnology companies. Dr. Harris is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology and board eligible in Hematology. She has had extensive laboratory experience in immunology. Dr. Harris ran a private practice in the District of Columbia for 18 years, focusing primarily on the treatment of patients with HIV/AIDS; during this time, she published extensively about AIDS as well as performed independent basic and clinical research. She also served as an adjunct professor at George Washington University and collaborated with investigators at the National Institutes of Health and Johns Hopkins University.

Dr. Harris has two patents for the use of a pregnancy-related hormone for the treatment of HIV/AIDS and Kaposi's Sarcoma. She has run Phase I, II, III and IV clinical trials with a variety of compounds, including tyrosine kinase inhibitors, an aromatase inhibitor and monoclonal antibodies. Dr. Harris is a Fellow in The American College of Physicians.
